The Marple Newtown Amateur Radio Club serves Delaware County and the Philadelphia area and uses the W3DI repeaters in Newtown Square on 2 meters (147.195 PL=100.0) and 70cm (442.250 PL=131.8) linked system. They are also IRLP connected as MNARC IRLP (Node 4790) and Echolink.
Monthly general membership meetings are held on the first non-holiday Thursday of every month (except July & August), at 7:00 pm, at the Robert Gauntlett Community Center in Broomall, PA. Monthly meetings usually feature a guest speaker who discusses a technical or cultural topic of interest to radio amateurs.
The Newtown Square Weather and information net meets every morning at 8:30 am on the 147.195 and 442.250 W3DI linked repeaters. The Weather Net draws check-ins from Allentown to Maryland, from Lancaster to the Jersey Shore.
The Marple-Newtown Amateur Radio Club publishes a monthly newsletter - The Dipole - to relay news of club events.
Membership in the Marple-Newtown Amateur Radio Club is open to anyone interested in Ham Radio in the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area.
